End to end, the lines in this book stretch maybe a city block,
not a long journey in that dimension. You can travel it that
way if you like. In another dimension, this book time-travels
ten years, from solar minimum in 1992 to solar maximum in
2002 - that is deceiving, however. The experienced journey
in time stretched to the beginning of our species, and beyond.
Hopefully, some of that is carried in my words.

Perhaps you are wondering what solar maximum
and minimum mean. They are extremes in a cycle,
apparently, that our sun goes through
every 11-12 years. As I write at this time,
August of 2002, a spectacular heart-shaped
sunspot is making its' way across the face
of our sun. I can't tell you how profound
that is to me - and how synchronistic.

Intellectually, emotionally, spiritually - it was Sol that guided me
through a labyrinth of extremes in all dimensions. I am not speaking
metaphorically here, but that is another book.

Long ago, as a child, I was crucified.
Resurrecting that child-part of me these past ten years has been a
journey through love and fear, violence and revelation, through the
bio-structure of the human brain and the quantum connection to the
universe we all share, through mythology and archeology, through
that in me which is destructive and that in me which is creative.
And it is with complete love and joy
that I now present that scarred
but healed child to your eyes.
